Target became the first retailer to integrate Drive Up and Order Pickup services with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing guests to pick up orders and navigate to stores directly from their car's infotainment system. This innovation aimed to reduce distractions while driving, prevent guests from arriving at the wrong store, and allowing more ways to notify team members when they were on the way. By integrating this feature into existing services, we made the pickup experience even more seamless and convenient.
This work pushed the boundaries of in-car technology and retail convenience. By integrating order pickup services into the car's infotainment system, we were able to create an experience that keeps guests safe on the road while providing an even more convenient and efficient way to pick up orders. This feature also helped Target lead the way in innovative customer service within the retail space.
